In an interview with 12 News, Vice Principal Sonia Camilli discusses the partnership between Heritage Helping Hands and local charities. Heritage students in Glendale have recently started a food drive to benefit St. Mary’s, St. Vincent de Paul, and fellow classmates whose families may need groceries. Heritage Helping Hands aims to teach students the benefits of selflessness, kindness, and good citizenship while helping those less fortunate.

GLENDALE, AZ (09/14/16) – Heritage Elementary School invites the police community of Glendale to campus for an event recognizing their service. On September 29 at 9 a.m., students will thank officers with an event called Not All Heroes Wear Capes, during which a representative from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office will present to the students.
