Mike Sackley of KTAR News visited Heritage Elementary School in Glendale to see students gardening in the Tyre Butler Memorial Greenhouse. Principal Justin Dye spoke with KTAR about how students are learning real life skills by gardening while honoring the memory of the sixth grader.

Principal Dye of Heritage Elementary School Glendale promised his students that if they reached their fundraising goal, then he would shave his head. This was more than enough motivation for the students, who not only met but surpassed their goal, forcing Principal Dye to shave his head in front of the entire school.
