Hello Heritage Parents,<\/p>\n

My name is Mr. Raymond Reid. I am the Life Skills instructor for your 6th, 7th and 8th graders for the 2015-2016 school year. I am a newly anointed Arizonan. This is my first year living in the valley after spending four years living in Flagstaff and am originally from Anchorage, Alaska.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I met a large number of you at Meet the Teacher Night and I know many had a lot of questions regarding what this class concept is all about. The Life Skills curriculum is aimed at developing the essential building blocks of a successful adult. As a classroom community we will aim to unearth and identify key concepts in the social development process that will assist the students as they navigate their way into their place in the world.<\/p>\n

Throughout each quarter we will touch on different broad topics that provide an eclectic base for the students to stand on. Our four main topics will be:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Social Health and Wellness<\/li>\n
  2. Personal Finance<\/li>\n
  3. Communication Methods<\/li>\n
  4. The Employment Process<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I want to always have open communication with parents and allow for any and all questions to be emailed to me. I encourage you all to find out more from the students and see what they are learning and adopting into their own lives and surroundings.<\/p>\n

    I am looking forward to working with the future leaders, movers and shakers of this community. Here is to a great school year and even greater memories.<\/p>\n
