Below you\u2019ll find programs, events, and local spots that offer up summer fun, cool play, and maybe even a little brain building for your kids and family to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Programs &amp; Enrichment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The City of Williams has a lot of great events planned for the community this summer. Take a look at their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.williamsaz.gov\/pdf\/P&amp;R\/2016\/2016%205%20-%20community%20events%20color%20updated%204-29-16.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">community calendar<\/a> for all the details, but we\u2019ll touch on a few here.<\/p>\n<p>The Williams Alliance for the Arts is hosting and sponsoring several events this summer for all ages, including art and craft classes and art walks. On June 18, at the Old Trails True Value, they are sponsoring a Free Craft Event for children; pre-registration is required and you can find the details on the community calendar linked above.<\/p>\n<p>All summer long, <a href=\"http:\/\/bookmans.com\/events\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bookmans<\/a> is holding Summer Kids Events, like puppet shows, musical petting zoos, and others, with a different event each week. These events are free, open to all children, and include materials (while supplies last). Each Arizona store is hosting their own events, all culminating in a Back-to-School Bash, featuring all sorts of carnival fun.<\/p>\n<p>Barnes &amp; Noble Booksellers is also hosting their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barnesandnoble.com\/b\/summer-reading\/_\/N-rs9\" target=\"_blank\">Summer Reading Triathlon<\/a> between May 17 and September 6, 2016. By reading over the summer and filling out the <a href=\"http:\/\/dispatch.barnesandnoble.com\/content\/dam\/ccr\/pdf\/2016\/summer-reading\/BN_SummerReading_Journal.pdf?x=y\" target=\"_blank\">Reading Journal<\/a>, children will be able to choose a free book from the list in that journal. Or you can check out a great <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barnesandnoble.com\/blog\/kids\/mid-summer-parentchild-book-club-picks\/\" target=\"_blank\">blog<\/a> featuring some parent\/child book club reading choices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Must-See<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Williams Aquatic Center opens its doors for the 2016 Swim Season on May 28, with a free swim from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is a great way to beat the heat and get out of the intense summer sun.<\/p>\n<p>The Williams Rec Center and Skate Park are wonderful places for the youth of the community and families to get out and get moving. There are movie nights, multi-level fitness classes, open gym nights, and other events. You can find more information on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.williamsaz.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">City of Williams website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Events<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For your information and use, we\u2019ve put together this Summer Event Calendar with local events.
