Over the years, as Heritage Elementary expanded, we sought a program that would provide all the essential resources to implement the mandated standards-based curriculum.
After extensive research, we discovered an instructional program called Beyond Textbooks, which is now utilized on all Heritage Elementary campuses.
Beyond Textbooks is employed by schools across Arizona, California, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Wyoming. With over 11,000 participating teachers, Beyond Textbooks has a significant impact on over 130,000 students. Additionally, Beyond Textbooks collaborates with Heritage Elementary to enhance student achievement by integrating our proven teaching and learning frameworks.

- “What is My Child Learning, and How Can I Help?” – a link to helpful websites, as well as access to all essential standards by grade level and content.
- “Benchmark/Quarterly Review Handbooks” – access to K-8 benchmark handbooks in both English and Spanish.
- “Dinnertime Conversations” – great articles and books for parents
- “What is Reteach and Enrich?” – a short video on the R/E process, as well as information on common formative assessments.
