Does your child have a cell phone? The odds are the answer is “Yes.” Statistics show that 56 percent of children 8-12 have a cell phone. It’s difficult to think of a product or technology, designed for adults, that was so quickly and ubiquitously co-opted by kids. Of course, Mom and Dad have to buy the phones and pay the bills, but cell phones have become a necessity in many kids’ lives.
To ensure your child has a great first day of school, students and parents are urged to attend Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, July 26, from 3-7 p.m. You’ll be able to tour the school, purchase uniform shirts, learn the school bus stops and pick-up times, bring in school supplies, and, of course, meet the teacher.
Sign your student up for Cheer Camp. There will be four sessions per camp: Kindergarten to 2nd grade camp will take place each Tuesday in June, and grades 3-5 will have camp each Thursday in June. A $30 registration fee covers all four sessions and includes a T-shirt and poms. Register in the front office. Hurry! Registration ends soon!
