What is a Purple Star School?

An Arizona Purple Star School is a campus recognized for its strong commitment to supporting military-connected students and their families. These schools understand the unique challenges faced by children of active-duty, reserve, and veteran service members, such as frequent moves and transitions. To earn the Purple Star designation, a school must provide a dedicated staff member as a military liaison, offer resources and programs that ease school transitions, and foster a welcoming environment that celebrates military culture. The goal is to ensure that every military-connected student feels supported academically, socially, and emotionally from the moment they arrive until the day they leave.

STUDENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The Student Ambassador Program empowers students to welcome and support new military-connected students as they transition into our school community. Ambassadors greet new students, offer peer guidance, and help them feel comfortable from their first day. Through kindness, leadership, and inclusion, ambassadors create a positive and supportive environment for all students. The program encourages empathy and builds meaningful connections among students from diverse backgrounds. Overall, the Student Ambassador Program helps foster a school culture where every student feels valued and welcomed.

Our Student Ambassadors are Josiah D. and Brandy B.
